Mount Kenya Climbing - 5 Days Trekking To Point Lenana (Chogoria / Sirimon Route)

DAY 01: Pick from Nairobi hotel and drive for 3 hours to chogoria village where you will meet with your guides,cook and porters.Few minutes stopover then drive further for about 45 minutes to be dropped at Rain forest camp.Picnic lunch to be served at this point.Thereafter start your 3 hours acclimatization hike to chogoria second gate camp.Set up up camp,after spend sometime doing a nature walk around the camp.Then dinner and overnight at chogoria gate camp(2850m)

DAY 02: Breakfast and then the porters to break up the camp and then together lead by the guide start another 3 hours slow hike via the nithi river to road head campsite where a hot lunch is to be served.Again set up the camp and then spend the afternoon doing acclimatization walk around the mugi hills as you take visit to famous and beautiful nithi falls then back the camp for dinner and overnight at road head campsite(3600m)

DAY 03: Breakfast,then the porters to break the camp and together start a 5-6 hours slow hike via the gorges valley to halls tarn/mintos camp(picnic lunch to be served en route).You will arrive in the camp some minutes after 2:30pm.Set up the camp the hot beverages and snacks to be served,Part of afternoon to be spent doing a bit walk acclimatisation walk along gorges valley and lake michaelson form a distance.Dinner and overnight in halls tarn/mintos camp(4300m)

DAY 04: Hot chocolate,coffee,tea and cookies to be served at 2:00am,then together with the guides start pre-dawn hike to point lenana(leaving the porters behind to break the camp)arriving at Point Lenana on time for a beautiful sunrise(4985m-target).Photo session and thereafter traverse via lewis glacier and then down to shiptons camp where you will find your hot breakfast waiting for you,this will be around 9:00am. After breakfast descend via sirimon route down for 4-5 hours to old moses-judimier camp.All meals and overnight at Judimier camp.

DAY 05: Breakfast and then after breaking the camp descend for 2 hours from the judimier camp to sirimon gate where you will find your car waiting to drive to nanyuki town town.A short stopover as you say farewell to the mountain clews.There after connect you car to drive back to Nairobi where the tour ends and there after we can do the safari.
